Movie Storyline
Paul Kemp is a freelance journalist who finds himself at a critical turning point in his life while writing for a run-down newspaper in the Caribbean. Paul is challenged on many levels as he tries to carve out a more secure niche for himself amidst a group of lost souls all bent on self-destruction.

Hunter S. Thompson wrote 'The Rum Diary' while living in Orange County New York. Also he was a reporter for the local paper 'The Times Herald Record.' The official reason for his termination at the paper was his assault on a vending machine with his bare feet, but many others have said that he simply shot it with a pistol.
